We do ask that customers book through 1300 720 507 rather than just turning up on the day - we may be booked out and a phone call will usually assure the customer of a seat.

We are working in closely with Maydena's Railtrack Rider and this is gaining in popularity with nearly 2000 people having experienced this trip to date. We also have the Maydena Adventure Park where groups can engage in team building etc through the activities offered eg rifle and skeet shooting, archery and other activities - minimum numbers apply for this.

Tassie Bound launch - New adventure tourism business operating in Derwent Valley and South West National Park area

We are pleased to announce that Tassie Bound will be open and operating in the Derwent Valley area from 13 January 2012.

Tassie Bound offers guests to the area a selection of three great kayaking day tours which are planned to meet all timeframes, budgets and abilities. It is our passion to showcase our areas most beautiful but perhaps less frequently visited natural attractions, reconnecting guests with nature and providing an informative and truly memorable outdoor adventure experience.

All our tours include:

• Transfers from all local accommodations in New Norfolk, Derwent Valley and National Park areas.
• All safety equipment, a safety demonstration, deluxe kayaking equipment and guided kayaking tour.
• Fully catered lunch made from fresh and in season local produce by our qualified chef with refreshments
• Photo of the day and transfers back to Platypus Playground Riverside Cottage or drop off points.
